Today involves both the laundry and art work. The art doesn’t stop because of laundry, and laundry doesn’t stop because of art work.

Real art has a real life, yours does and so does ours.

Grateful that family and home are included in our creative life.

As we get closer to our opening (December 3rd Reception), we are focused on the last pieces of our show.

This day has been filled to overflowing with rain. It has also been a retrograde kind of day.

As we move into this new month and dive deeper into the finalization of our December Show, we are aware of this being the last time we will be showing a large body of work at the Camden Public Library Gallery.

May all the spirits of creativity be present for a wondrous show, a completion of 18 years of a building a factual of information on the Alchemical process.

We are deeply into the show, our last one at the Camden Public Library Jean Picker Gallery.

17 previous shows culminating in this 18th show and we are still painting, gathering, and creating new 3-D pieces.

Next year brings something new for us, what it will be is still a mystery.

Friday’s are class days for us. For over eight years we’ve been giving our Realm Awareness class, what a joy and a deep dive it is.

Making headway on our shift of seasons.

This is our fiber and painting tent being weatherized to get us through the fall and hopefully able to withstand the Maine winter. Of course by that time we will be tucked indoors nice and warm, but this should see us through early December.

Hopscotch is aware of the weather changes, and we are in the period where outdoor 3 season studio spaces need to shift.

No small task, but essential. This week is one of moving indoors what needs to come in and making way for more room to create inside for the remainder of this year.

We have had such wonderful weather here this weekend, and today we are happy to be painting outside.

We wanted to mention that we will be expanding our website through pointing out what is offered to you through the content we have on here to share with you, and of course, increasing the content.

The Creative Life Shows are great place to explore, and to listen to, because they address how to live within a creative journey.

The books we have here are all about the deep inner landscape and help you assimilate the energy required to expand your own practice.

Wonderful weather for us this weekend, taking advantage of the mild temperatures and blue skies.

A great day to be out painting, it’s combined with straightening, cleaning, and shifting things around, both inside and outside.

To paint feels like taking flight.

Today, the day after our poetry reading, we had planned on a day away from the studio, but when the feeling of flight is so present we just have to play with our paints.

Each year we work toward our December art show, and as we enter into the fall season, we feel the shift and our desire increases to see more deeply the direction of the work.

Each piece unfolds the fractal curve we follow.

Hope you find your direction and are able to curve into its bend.

New is wonderful, the flight of perspective lands on butterfly wings.🙂

Materials change as you move through a body of work, here we have added a small canvas to our surface giving the work an additional layer.🙂

To be inside your wings is to at peace with your own flight, to begin to see a broader more squared perspective.

Today we begin a new painting outdoors. Good to be in the sun, we are fed by the nature of our garden around us.

Weekends are great for musing as you are out and about. Getting out of the studio helps for those times when you re deep inside a body of work. Balance. Hope you’re weekend finds you taking a breath and relaxing into balance.

Sometimes it’s important to give yourself time to sink into a quiet time. This is one of those days. May your day find you wholly within yourself and having the time you need.

As all good creatives know, it’s important to get out and about, to have a connection with community.

We found this game at our local Goodwill, there are over 470,000,000 combinations to work with, we should be finished by next year. 🙂

We are making the turn, there are times during creative work that you can feel when you make a turn, that indicates are renewal of energy, an expansion of the work, and the relief of knowing the path is smoothing out for you.
